John Barbella

John Barbella is Senior Vice President within the Payment Solutions Group. Based in Minneapolis, he is a veteran in the financial industry with more than 16 years of experience in the payments industry. In his role with The Bancorp Bank, Barbella is responsible for developing and driving the prepaid card business strategy for the organization.

In recent years, Barbella has focused heavily on the prepaid card market. He has partnered with industry leaders to develop payment solutions in the prepaid arena to meet the growing needs of employers and consumers in this fledgling industry.

Prior to joining The Bancorp Bank, Barbella served in a variety of leadership positions in sales, marketing and business development with Deluxe Corporation.

Barbella holds a bachelor’s degree in real estate and a master’s degree in management from Penn State University.
